Spring Time in the Ariege with bedbreakfastbikespyrenees

The clocks have sprung forward and Easter has passed we are well and truly on the way to better weather. Spring is a great time to visit the Ariege for cycling and walking. Its such a wonderful feeling to be woken up in the morning by the sun kissing the windows, and after a hearty breakfast putting foot to pedal and turning those wheels to discover this beautiful part of the world.
With the snow covered mountains as a backdrop, there’s a freshness in the air, feel the sun as you pedal along those quiet country lanes, stop off at one of the many medieval small towns and experience the market days, stay for a coffee break or a bite to eat and sit and watch the world go by. Discover the area on foot or four – there are foot paths a plenty and horse riding too. A perfect part of the planet and perfect time to spend a long weekend or mini break.
Having played host to winter sports, spring time brings another calendar of activities for this area, cycling and non-cycling!
